It was a soggy night across the Blue Jays farm system. Buffalo and Dunedin were rained out at home.
Lansing scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the 1st against Dayton, but they nicked starter Cobi Johnson for two equalizing runs in the 2nd, and 3 in the 5th and went on to beat the Lugnuts 9-4. Reggie Pruitt extended his on-base streak to 13 games with a single, and with a pair of hits, Otto Lopez has reached safely in all 12 contests he’s played in.
In New Hampshire, the Fisher Cats rallied for three runs in the bottom of the 8th to take a one-run lead, but Hartford answered with a pair in the top of the 9th to take the game, 4-3, snapping New Hampshire’s three game winning streak. Andrew Sopko gave New Hampshire 7 solid innings on the mound, allowing only a pair of 3rd inning runs while fanning 5.
Dunedin’s washed out match with Lakeland will be made up on June 3rd, while Buffalo, already scheduled to play a double header with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre today, will make up yesterday’s washed out affair on June 3rd.
