Coming in at Number 22 is T.J Zeuch. A former first-round pick in 2016 out of Pitt, Zeuch has flown under the radar since being drafted. He sort of was forgotten about until he threw a no-hitter in Buffalo last week and since then, has been in talks about a September call up. Reports suggest that he’ll make his MLB debut tonight, following Opener Wilmer Font.
Zeuch has a 30 current grade, and a 40 future grade, giving him a 35.1 Total grade at the age of 24. He’s got the potential to be a solid 4-5 starter, and give the Jays a cheap option on the mound, something they desperately need.
In AAA for the Bisons, Zeuch has thrown 78 Innings, for a 3.69 ERA, and a 1.31 WHIP. He’s only struck out 38 hitters, while walking 32. He’s struggled with getting swings and misses to say the least, but he’s only allowed 70 hits. He hasn’t been out of this world good, or even “good” at all, he’s been solid which is enough to get an audition at the big league level.
