This is where it starts to get interesting…..
The Dunedin Blue Jays would have taken the field yesterday to kick off their defence of a Florida State League co-championship. If the world and spring training had unfolded as it normally would, the D-Jays would have a prospect laden lineup take to the field in their season opener at Clearwater against the Phillies’ affiliate.
After playing their home games at Clearwater’s aged Jack Russell Stadium (one doubleheader had to be played at Toronto’s minor league complex), the D-Jays were no doubt looking forward to moving into their new TD Ballpark home. But that, of course, will have to wait.
